Odyle Energy — the resource that caps your evening
Without odyle energy a dungeon pays you nothing. How much you get, what to spend it on, and why this is the first planning question of the day.

There is one resource that decides how much a session actually earns you — and most people only notice it once it runs out.
Odyle energy.
How it works
At the end of a dungeon there is a chest. Opening it costs energy:

The in-game tooltip gives the numbers directly:
| Basic energy | 30 / 840 |
| Charged energy | 630 / 2,000 |
| Recharge | 15 every 48 minutes, automatically |
| Cost per boss cube | 40 energy |
| Pool | shared between normal dungeons and transcendence |
Where the reserve comes from
Charged energy does not refill on its own. It comes from three sources, all of which run alongside your normal play:
| Source | Cadence |
|---|---|
| Substance morph | weekly |
| Daeva pass | through pass progress |
| Growth support | through the growth aids |
Which makes the most important habit on this page not saving but morphing weekly. Skip it and you are permanently playing out of the small pool only.
The shared pool is the part you have to understand: whatever you spend in an ordinary dungeon is missing later at transcendence or on Vakron’s Sky Island.
The actual rule
Not “save your energy” — but spend it where a chest is worth the most.
At roughly 120 energy a day that is about three chests. Three. So the question is not whether you spend it, but which three.
Getting more
Three ways:
- Craft the weekly energy stones. Seven per week, 40 energy each. That is 280 extra energy — more than two full days’ worth.
- Subscription. Grants faster regeneration or a higher cap. One of the few places the subscription makes a noticeable difference in PvE.
- Shop. Purchasable for subscribers.
Why this matters while levelling
While levelling you keep running into dungeons whose chest looks tempting. The gear inside gets replaced in two weeks.
The same energy spent in an expedition gets you a piece that lasts months. That is the same thought as everywhere in this guide: will I still have this in four weeks?
The shared pool in practice
Because one reserve feeds several activities, it co-decides what an evening can hold at all:
- Expeditions
- Conquest
- Transcendence
- Sanctuary
If you have three hours but energy for two chests, you are effectively playing two chests long. Planning starts here, not with your calendar.
In short
- 40 energy per chest, roughly 120 a day: about three chests daily
- One pool for everything — what goes here is missing at transcendence
- Open chests where the contents are worth most
- Craft seven energy stones a week, early
- Clearing a dungeon without opening the chest is sometimes the right call
