Abyss corridor — five minutes, while the door is open

The richest point source in the abyss is an instance your faction has to capture first — and whose window closes again.

Search for “abyss portal” and you almost always end up here: at the abyss corridor, also called the artifact room. It is the richest point source in the abyss — and the only one you cannot earn on your own.

How it runs

The entrance stands in the zone as a portal, at Reshanta’s Root in the shot. One press of interact and you are in.

Five minutes in which you drop as many enemies as you can manage. No boss mechanics, no group finder — pure speed.

The catch: your faction has to unlock it

Every corridor belongs to an artifact in the abyss. It is only open to the faction currently holding that artifact.

Three of them sit side by side in the shot:

  • Reshanta’s Root Artifact
  • Sulfur Tree Island Artifact
  • Archipelago of Siel’s Wings Artifact

Under each runs a passage usage time — 02:10 in the shot. Access is not permanent, then, but a window that arrives with the artifact and leaves again.

Two things follow, both of which you only really understand once you have lived them:

  • Your access is not guaranteed. If your faction loses the artifact or the window runs out, the door is shut — whatever you have already done today.
  • The points are a faction result, not a personal one. Anyone who never shows up in the open abyss still farms off other people’s work. Anyone who fights makes sure the door is still there tomorrow.

On a server rematch, artifact captures and corridors are reset — and the fight for them starts over.

When to go

As soon as you are in the abyss at all, so from roughly 1500 gear score. Before that the trip does not pay; after it, this is the most reliable point source you have.

And since the zone has a ceiling: the corridor is not content you save for later. It is content for now.
