The route to a crafted weapon

From orichalcum to the Noble Dragon Lord. How the tiers build on each other and which step is the genuinely hard one.

You are level 45 and wondering how people get hold of those weapons everyone talks about. Here is the route — and the point where it gets unpleasant.

The ladder

The weapon names follow a fixed order. The number behind each is the profession level required:

TierProfession level
Orichalcumearly
Expert’s Orichalcum
Artisan’s Orichalcum
True / Star Dragon Lord55
White / Dark Dragon Lord70
Wise / Ebony Dragon Lord85
Celestial / Demonic Dragon Lord90
Noble Dragon Lord95
Obsidian / Crimson Dragon Lord115

Structurally it is that simple. It gets unpleasant at the materials.

A concrete example

For a Noble-class weapon the material list looks roughly like this:

MaterialAmountFrom
🗡️ Artisan’s Splendent Orichalcum Longsword×5The hard part — see below
💎 Artisan’s Ultimate Refining Stone×50Drops from playing: dungeons, raids, chests, field events
🐉 Fine Robust Balaur Horn×122From chests, then refined via blacksmithing
🔴 Wrathful Mind×18From Vakron onwards
🔴 Wrathful Will×27Fire temple / abyssal forge, bound on drop
🔴 Wrathful Ego×42Fire temple / abyssal forge, bound on drop
☠️ Maddened Wrathful Curse×19Set rate per abyssal forge clear, tradeable
⛏️ Radiant Orichalcum Ore×121High gathering level plus luck
🌿 Radiant Odyle×70Gatherable and tradeable

The step where it stalls

What to take from it

Two observations that hold for any crafted weapon:

The path draws on everything you are doing anyway. Wrathful mind comes from Vakron, wrathful will and ego from the fire temple, refining stones from ordinary play. Work through the roadmap and you collect the material along the way — you just have to stop throwing it out.

Bound versus tradeable is the crucial distinction. Wrathful will and ego are bound on drop; you have to farm those yourself. Maddened wrathful curse and radiant odyle are tradeable — you can buy those if you have kina. When planning, it pays to check first which lines you can solve with money and which you cannot.

In short

  • The ladder is simple; the materials are the work
  • The bottleneck is the five procced precursor weapons
  • Much of it drops along the way if you follow the roadmap anyway
  • Check what is tradeable before you start farming
