How it runs
14 runs per week. Clear each difficulty four times. First clears give extra currency, so it pays to go broad rather than repeat only the highest tier.
What the currency buys
Devenian crystals. That is it.
That sounds limiting, but it is exactly why nightmare is so valuable: Devenian crystals feed the Devenian Boards, one of the single largest sources of permanent combat power in the game.
When to start
Once you are in the region of 1600 gear score. Before that you lack the gear for the higher difficulties, and that is exactly where first clears are worth most.
