Cubes — hidden boxes with endgame material
Top-tier crafting materials regardless of your level. First come, first served — after that it is gone for everyone else.

Cubes are one of the better ideas in Aion 2, and most players walk straight past them in their first weeks.
What they are
Hidden containers standing out in the world. You open them with keys from sealed dungeons.
What is inside does not depend on your level. A cube can hold top-tier crafting material — material used for endgame weapons — and you might find it at level 10.
First come, first served
A cube is one-time. Whoever opens it has it — for everyone else it is gone afterwards.
In practice that means: in busy areas they are often already taken. In remote corners, in places you only reach via an updraft, or away from the quest paths, they last longer.
What to watch for
- While flying and gliding, let your eyes wander over the landscape rather than fixing on the quest marker
- Look away from the main routes — they survive longer there
- Keys accumulate through sealed dungeons, so that will not be your bottleneck
What is still open here
In short
- Keys come from sealed dungeons
- Contents are level-independent, often endgame crafting material
- One-time — first come, first served
- Keep what you find, do not sell it
